I bought it and paid for it before I got married, so it was easier to sink money into it then. I had some engine work done (internals) but held off on turbos and other mods, as that was pushing the budget over the top. I do most upgrades and minor maintenance myself. Down-time isn't a big deal since I don't rely on it for transportation. I do like getting it out and driving it, especially this time of year. I don't expect to ever get my money back out of it. With a wife and 2 kids now, it isn't very.... practical. That's why it's just a toy. Hard to let it go, so I drive it from time to time when the weather is nice. Vehicles, for the most part, drop in value as we drive them and as they age. Buy it for the fun factor and enjoy it. But don't get upset if you take a loss when you decide to sell it.
-------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- Conversation between my sister and my wife (shortly before we got married): Wife: "You know, sometimes I think he loves that Z more than he does me." Sister: "He probably does, and as long as you're okay with that, everything will be fine." |
